Romelia "DeDe" Soto is the founder and lead attorney of The Soto Law Group APC, based in Newport Beach, California. With over 20 years of legal experience, she specializes in estate planning, probate, and business succession, focusing on helping families and business owners protect their assets and avoid the complexities of probate court. A Cuban American with roots in both the Midwest and Cuba, she is often known by her nickname "DeDe".

Soto earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from California State University, Fullerton, and her Juris Doctor from Western State University College of Law, followed by further studies at Chapman School of Law. Before establishing her own firm, she built a diverse background in family law, business litigation, and real estate, which she now leverages to handle high-asset transfers and complex legal matters. Outside of her professional work, she is active in her church community and enjoys playing golf.

Prerequisites and Program Content:
There are no prerequisite education or prior experience needed for any of STEP Orange County’s meetings or events. All sponsored events are relevant learning objectives to assist in the continuing education for MCLE and CPE. All levels are encouraged to participate and all participants will take away knowledge regarding the subject matter. There is also no advanced preparation needed for any of the meetings or events.The field of study for this program is Taxes and will be delivered by Group Live & Group Internet Based.

STEP Orange County is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE Credit.
